After months of hard work and dedication, they've crossed the finish line and are now patiently (and excitedly!) awaiting their results, expected in the first or second week of April. We're sending them all the best wishes for fantastic outcomes! While our 12th graders are on the cusp of a new chapter, today also marked the start of the 10th standard (GCSE Level) exams. We were so delighted to hear from two of our amazing girls who shared that their first exam went brilliantly! That's the kind of positive energy we love to see! We're keeping our fingers crossed for all our 10th graders as they continue their exams. Let's send them all our support and encouragement! Yesterday, we had the incredible privilege of welcoming Jodanne Pereira, the dynamic Outreach and Education Officer from ReefWatch Marine Conservation! It was an afternoon filled with discovery and inspiration as Jodanne shared her passion for marine life with our eager young learners.

Jodanne's visit was a fantastic opportunity to delve into the fascinating world of biodiversity. She expertly guided the children through key concepts, sparking their curiosity with questions like:

What exactly is biodiversity? What can we learn from the incredible diversity of life in our oceans? What are the various factors that threaten this precious biodiversity?

Through engaging discussions and interactive presentations, Jodanne illuminated the complex and interconnected nature of marine ecosystems. She painted a vivid picture of the diverse array of marine life and the critical role they play in maintaining a healthy planet.

The heart of Jodanne's message was clear: the urgent need to protect and conserve our marine environments. She emphasized the importance of understanding the challenges facing marine life and empowering the children to become stewards of the ocean.

It was an inspiring afternoon with the talented students of DMC College in Mapusa as we embarked on a "Friendship With Environment" project.

The students shared insightful presentations on the importance of environmental conservation, emphasizing the power of recycling and reducing our reliance on unsustainable products.

We were thrilled to see their creativity shine as they:

Organised our students in groups to design impactful posters highlighting the urgent need to protect our planet. Demonstrated their resourcefulness by crafting eco-friendly paper bags from recycled newspapers with the children.

On Sunday night we got a call from Purple Martini who asked to go over to collect some food items that a couple of the managers had left for us. There doesn't seem much in the photos, but there seemed to be around 40kg worth of good which included lots of different spices, flour, frozen vegetables, milk, curd, dry goods including cashew nuts, dal and lots of vegetables.

It all just about managed to git on the bike and once back at the centre it took a good hour to put it all away. The good thing is that we have lots of spices, including some new ones to try so lets start cooking!Thank you to Sunny and Rajat who donated the items.
