New School SHoes, Mapusa, Goa

Today has been busy as we received a good selection of shoes for the children as they start back to school on Monday. Each year the school children are required to wear 'shoes/plimsoles (depending on their school) once the monsoon is complete, this is normally set as after the Diwali Holidays.
We have quite a few older students at college, so they have a bit more freedom for the shoes they can wear so these will be sorted seperately, but the younger ones we buy in bulk and will give out today and over the next couple of days.
Once back at school a lot of the children will get their exam results as most had exams before breaking up for holidays. Fingers Crossed!!
*UPDATE*
The children have all returned to school after the Diwali Holidays with their new school shoes. After the monsoon finished the children swap out of their sandals into either black school shoes or canvas (usuakky blue and white) trainers.
It is also great to see them with their bright new shoes, although they never stay clean for long.

Food Distribution during Diwali, Mapusa, Goa

We were delighted to be contacted by Travel Food Services (TFS) again last week. Those who keep up to date with our news might remember that they donated a LOT of biscuits a few weeks before which we were able to distribute to over 1000 students so far...

Double Tree Visit, Mapusa, Goa

The children have been really lucky the last few weeks with various trips and activities. Last week our children were once again invited to the glorious @doubletreebyhiltongoapanaji. As this was our second trip another group of around 40 children were invited to enjoy the hospitality of the grand hotel. In this trip we managed to take a couple of the youngest children along with a couple of children with special needs. It was once again a lovely day thanks to the fantastic staff. Here is just a small selection of photos from the day.
Thank you once again to the staff, the bus drivers, and Sanah for helping arrange it all.
