A couple of the girls wanted to be creative this morning during their school holidays so they both painted 'daisy' flowers

After having a lovely lunch at Purple Martini we we headed up the coast a little and took the kids down the steep steps at "Hill Top" down to the little beach of Little Vagator. The children loved playing in the water and playing on the rocks looking for crabs and small fish.

Christmas eve saw the party for the younger kids and Christmas Day was for the older ones, we had planned to have a third but everyone decided to gate crash the Christmas Day party so, no issues ??

We had a few more games with dancing on ever shrinking paper squares, which as was difficult but very funny as well as balancing balls in between kids and they have to drop it into a 'bucket' to win and then lots and lots of dancing. It was a great day.

As with the day before the festivities started off with Christmas lunch which was delicious and I was so glad there were left overs (which fed me the next day!!!) Yum Yum!

Christmas Lunch at Purple Martini at Sunset Point, Goa

We were delighted to be invited back to Purple Martini at Sunset Point, Goa for our Christmas Party.

The fantastic people at Purple Martini welcomed the children like family and treated them to Pizza, Veg Burgers and Chips, followed by Juice, Chocolate and Ice Cream!

Before they left Santa also gave them an extra Christmas present each for all 70+ children who came.

Goa Outreach were delighted to receive an invitation from Samarpan Foundation to be part of their Christmas Celebrations at Heera Farm (Water Park) in Goa. We would be joining two other groups and 29 of our children joined in with the fun day.

Samarpan Foundation kindly provided free one day pass for the Heera Farm in Pernem, this included access to the grounds, the rain dance, swimming pools and slides. They also provided snacks, meal, drinks and presents for all the children.

We arrived first and wasn't quite sure where to go but thankfully staff from Samarpan arrived as we were getting down from the bus. Thankfully a couple of the children had been on a school trip before and showed us the way. ??

The Pool and Slides weren't quite ready so all the children stared with excitement at the big slides. While we waited the children were given a small snack and drinks to start off the day.

The children were then allowed to start the excitement and went straight to the big slides which did worry the owners of the park as they saw a hundred children with their eyes firmly trained on the big slides. One of the good things about being young they mostly had no fear and tried everything. As you can see from the photos they loved all the water activities. Samarpan organised a couple of live guards too, which was nice to have to keep an eye on the kids. Here is the first installment of photos from the fantastic day!

We had a large package (Ten sets) of Badminton Packs (2 x Badminton Rackets, Shuttle Cocks and Nets) dropped off this morning. Was a lovely surprise.. Thank you so much and I am sure some of the children will choose these to add to their Christmas presents.

We were also visited by Gayle, daughter and friend who dropped off soft toys (2 have already been chosen as extra gifts for the children) as well as books, games and chocolate - Thank you so much!!!

"Its Starting to feel a lot like Christmas!!!"

It has literally been years since we have seen Penny and Ralph, who loved joining us on a 'fruit run' down to the slums. So it was lovely to get a call last week from Penny asking if she could join us....

Penny had stopped off at the local market and bought large bags of fresh oranges (we'd probably call them as tangerines) and also bought lollipops and chocolates to give out (the children do love lollipops!). As an extra treat we added a few biscuits and headed off down to the local slum areas where most of our children stay.

We visited 5 or 6 areas in total and gave out hundreds of oranges and a huge bag of lollipops.

We have currently wrapped over 300 presents for the children... Still only half have finished choosing their presents... Just two weeks left... Fingers crossed we get everything done in time....

Christmas is just around the corner, which to be honest is a little scary as we frantically get presents organised for each of our children - as of the 1st of December we have managed to wrap a total of 268 presents, which is a good start but far from enough as we expect to wrap close to 500 presents this year for our children.

As an extra bonus we have been promised 1 extra gift for all the younger children from 1st to 9th Standard (About two thirds of the children).

In any case I am sure the children will have a great time this Christmas..

As well as the children we support all year round, we hope to be able to distribute more presents to Street Children and those living on building sites. If you can help, then we would be delighted to hear from you.
