This month, @purplemartinigoa surprised us with a mountain of marvelous crockery - nearly 550 plates, saucers, and bowls, all delivered by a trusty little rickshaw! We've been busy sharing the bounty with the families we work with, giving the children to choose two items per family member. The kids have definitely got their own style - most choosing one of each item, creating the most wonderfully eclectic collections!

As many of you know, the months of April, May, and June in Goa bring with them intense heat and humidity, children living in slums are particularly vulnerable to prickly heat due to the cramped living conditions. This discomfort, caused by trapped sweat under the skin, leads to an irritating stinging sensation all over their bodies. This past weekend's extended 9-hour power outage only compounded these challenges, highlighting the difficult conditions these children often face.
Thankfully, the simple yet effective solution of prickly heat powder offers a soothing cooling sensation and boasts antibacterial properties that help protect their children's skin. The donation will make a significant difference in the daily comfort and well-being of these children during these challenging months.
We are deeply grateful for the continued kindness and support shown by Purple Martini and Radha Raman Food for Livelihood. We eagerly await the arrival of the monsoon rains, which will naturally bring cooler temperatures.
